| This is just a report from a practice this summer. Their short program opens with them both in a standing position (like Ina and Zimmerman's Truman Show SP) and went straight into the throw triple, which I think's cool! Their lifts seem to be like the ones they did in their short program last year. Overall the program was great to watch, they do a spiral sequence instead of footwork which they did last year. I saw this practice over the summer but it seems to me that the elements in their program will stand out the most. A new move they did was kind of an Ina Bauer but she kind of runs her hand down his side and I really thought it suited them. Yes they did try dbl axels once and they looked ok but they didn't do too many triple toes. Jamie seemed ok from her injury but it looked like they we just getting back into things.
The Rita McNeil Special Taping
So looking around the arena b4 the show I'm looking around and all of the sudden I see Dave! I was like oooooohhhh! And Jamie came out later and was chatting it up! All I can say about it is that they were absolutely breathtaking the whole night!!
The first number was to a rita mcneil xmas song. Both of their costumes were purple and they did three PERFECT takes! Jamie came out and thanked the audience after the 2nd one, if I remmember correctly!
Santa Claus is coming to town was their second no. and they wore christmassy coloured red tops and black bottoms, too cute! THe program starts with Jamie hiding behind a tree and when Dave comes out she chucks a snowball at him. During the 2st take she hit his back but in the second one she hit his HEAD! and in the third one he ducked and everyone cracked up! They were definately having fun and Jamie throwing snowballs was just too good! In that program other than throwing snowballs they did a throw, lift, 2 ds and an awesome twist! They asked for the microphone when they were done and once again thanked us for coming. Jamie was being funny the whole time and so Dave started trying to show off and he ended up flashing his chest during the 2nd number! Ahhh what a great site! My friend insists that I add that although everyone was laughing she thinks Jamie laughed the hardest! But by far the sweetest and cutests thing was that instead of usign the boards to put her skate guards on Jamie used Dave! (Reading Sarah's review reminded me to put that in, thanks!) hehe! (pssst, Christine, the boards are that way, just stick ur hips out like ur **mping them!) |
